ne güzeldi

ne güzeldi o akşam saatlerinde, henüz hava tam kararmamışken, bacalardan tüten dumanların isiyle, sokaklardan gelen uzak boğuk ortam sesleri... anneannem namazını kılardı, sessizce fısıldadığı duaların tonu, rükuya varırken eklemlerinde çıkan tıkırdamalar, sobanın üst kapağından tavana yansıyan ateşin ışığı, tiktak tiktak; salondaki saatin sessizliği. galiba ben o günleri çok özledim.

Trondheim is a university city, but why?

Trondheim, this beautiful and peaceful city of Norway, is one of the cities that university students are also sought after. So much so, while the total city population is 190,000, 36,000 of this is university students. The reason for this is not for the city to host many activities, planned settlement, ski slopes and bars for young people: The University ...

I do not know if you have ever heard of NTNU (https://www.ntnu.edu), but after my visit to Trondheim, it's become a familiar name to me. NTNU, namely Norwegian University of Science and Technology, is based in Trondheim. In other Norwegian cities and Brussels, the same university has campuses.

The university provides education in many departments: Humanities and social sciences, medicine and arts related departments are the leading ones. Consisting of nine faculties and 55 departments, NTNU University has 16 libraries. It is a fact that a university that publishes about 2 million printed books, nearly 1 million e-books and articles as a result of more than 3 million academic studies annually does not attract students only to support the tradesmen in the region. Imagine a university so that 1800 employees are affiliated to SINTEF, an R&D organization only:
SINTEF ((https://www.sintef.no/en/) is a Norway based research & development organization. It is one of the most qualified independent R&D organizations in the world, with around 2000 scientists and academics, with participants from 75 countries. Thanks to this organization, which has been serving for more than 70 years, studies on Renewable Energy, Ocean Science, Industrial and Planned Urbanization, Micro, Nano and Macro technologies are carried out. Qualified academics do qualified jobs and raise qualified students.

We know that Norway is rich due to its rich oil deposits. I saw with my own eyes that they did not care about the glamor like in the oil-rich United Arab Emirates. It is indisputable how useful investments in science and technology are for humanity. The Creator orders us to investigate in our religion, but we have drawn them in different directions by cultural corruption, as Muslims ...

Thanks to the NTNU university, the city of Trondheim has become the central city of the Internet, Computer Programming in the Nordic. Therefore, many authorities define the Technology capital of Norway for the city of Trondheim. A remarkable definition for Trondheim is as follows: From the first breath to the last breath, it is a human-oriented democratic-based quad-spiral model city with the support of the collaboration created by the private sector, academic and non-governmental organizations. I think this definition is 300 years away for our cities, even most European cities lag behind, if not more than 300 years behind. Trondheim has done this, guys!

An entrepreneurship school called Trondheim Nordic City Lab also serves as a result of the disciplines that I mentioned above. This formation, which gained extra power with the participation of EU initiatives, has created an exciting urban arena environment for the development of digital citizenship. This is not very inaccessible to what I say, do not be intimidated. At the point where pluralism is not the majority, but where the participants come from, what they do is in the background: the important thing is to carry out ideas and draw conclusions from the ideas obtained, to take action and benefit from them ...

Is it because NTNU is among the few universities in the world because it has just not established a university in every city, opened unplanned departments and did not give such unqualified  diplomas to people (such as distributing free supplies). I have already mentioned that Trondheim is a peaceful and calm city. So this city attracts students from all over the world thanks to this university. The reason for this is not only the quality of the city, but also the university education is above the world standards ...

Instead of working with lower fee as usual in Doctorate and Master programs, you become a professional student by working on a designated project in this university. You are accepted to the project, while working as a salaried employee, you also have an academic career. What a beautiful process actually, isn't it?

NTNU, one of the most respected and respected universities in the world, is like a technological and scientific temple for Trondheim. An education system that acts by seeing the future can employ its graduates. Otherwise, just to read, to go to university to become a university graduate creates huge employment problems after graduation. If only higher education policy in our country is not ruined by daily policies, it is not shaped by the political interests of politicians. There are thousands of university graduates on the street, most of them are unemployed. Most of those who find a job do not do their job anyway, there is an unhappy and hopeless youth. Unfortunately, its quality in universities opened like a grocery store is too low to compete with universities abroad. We also have rooted universities, of course, but it is obvious that the quality of education has decreased over time. We can see this from retired academics and graduated friends.

It is also a fact that every model taken in higher education is brought from the west and demographic and cultural structure is not taken into account before the infrastructure conditions are prepared. Why can't we create a happy youth, unfortunately, this is one of the main reasons.
