Şehrin belli başlı yapılarından birisi de Almanca Rathaus olarak tabir edilen tarihi belediye binası. Gotik dönemin sonlarına denk gelen bu yapının yapılış tarihi 1487. (en) One of the main buildings of the city is the historical town hall called the Rathaus in German. The construction date of this building, which coincides the end of the Gothic period, is 1487.

Şehrin Barış şehri olmasının en önemli göstergesi Vestfalya Barış Antlaşmasının bu şehirde imzalanmasıdır. 1648'de imzalanan bu antlaşmayla bölgedeki Protestan ve Katolik imparatorlukların/prensliklerin arasındaki savaşlar sona ermesidir. Hristiyanlar özgürce ibadetlerini yerine getirebileceklerdir. Yani bir anlamda mezhep çatışmalarının önüne geçilmiş olmasıdır. (en) The most important indicator of the city being the city of Peace is the signing of the Westphalian Peace Treaty in this city. With this treaty signed in 1648, the wars between the Protestant and Catholic empires / principalities in the region have come to an end. Christians would be able to freely practice their worship. In other words, sectarian conflicts are prevented.

Dünya Savaşındaki olayları konu aldığı kitapları, Yahudi kökenli Osnabrück doğumlu  Ressam Nussbaum'un da burada Resimlerinin sergilenmesi, Osnabrück'u  Barış'ı simgeleyen bir şehir yapmaktadır. (en) In addition, Erich Maria Remarque's books about World War II, one of the greatest bloody wars in the recent past, and the exhibition of Paintings by Painter Nussbaum, born in Osnabrück, make Osnabrück a city symbolizing Peace.

YAHUDI ANITI VE ÇOK YAKIN GEÇMIŞ IRKÇILIK ÜZERINE 

Şehrin merkezinde yeralan bu devasa yapıda Aziz Peter Katedrali (Dom St. Peter). 1225 yılından beri ayakta duran bu yapının ayrıca manastır kısmıda bulunuyor. Geç Romanesk dönemi mimariyle yapı görülmeye değer. ( en) St. Peter's Cathedral (Dom St. Peter) in this huge building in the center of the city. This building, which has been standing since 1225, is also located in the monastery. The building is worth seeing with the architecture of the Late Romanesque period.
